Lovely restaurant. They seem to take pride in providing excellent customer service. From when I called the restaurant, to arrival to when my meal was completed they were very attentive. The inside of the restaurant is tight but they accommodated my family of 5 (including an infant). The food seems to be made fresh. So don’t come here if you’re in a hurry or already starving. The food was slow to arrive. When it did arrive it was presented well and was tasty. That said, I found the price point to be quite pricey! I was NOT expecting nearly $40 a plate for chicken entrees. Maybe that price point for oxtail or whole fish but not stewed chicken. Phew.

The appetizers were actually enough! We could have really stopped there and took our entrees home because we were so full😋 The Lillie flowers which was fried cauliflower with sweet and sour sauce was amazing! The coco bread was warm and tasty and our drinks😘
When the entrees came out they looked and smelled so delicious I forgot to take photos of everything! My husband had the Island sampler which consisted of the Curry goat, Oxtail and Jerk chicken and rice and peas with sweet plantains and a side salad while I enjoyed salmon and rice and peas and a side salad…we had leftovers for the following day😍

Me and my wife visited for the first time and had an amazing experience. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Our host was generous, informative and punctual. We read ahead and new to have an expected wait while our food was prepared. Will definitely be back!!

I would like to start by saying the customer service is top tier. We were seated quickly although we had a reservation, we didn’t need to alert him of it. The waiter/owner provided some great meal ideas for the appetizers. We tried the sample platter (not sure of its proper name) it was very delicious. The options of Mac and cheese or oxtails pasta wasn’t available at the moment and would take a while to be made so we opted out of those. I had the oxtail dinner for $40 😩 in a red sauce that gave me very bad heartburn and the bigger oxtail was very tough to chew. Our total bill was over $240 and has a mandatory 20% fee on all orders. You aren’t able to swoop out the sides. You have to pay for a side order. The curry chicken my husband ordered did lack flavor. Although the ambience and host was fantastic, we will not be returning.

Yah Mon! Amazing customer service & food! The owner/staff gets 5 stars plus. This was the best Caribbean food I’ve ever tasted! The food was full of flavor & tender. The wings/chicken/oxtails couldn’t stay on the bones! I definitely recommend Yah Mon to anyone visiting Tampa! Please do yourself a favor & check out this place! Again top notch food and then great customer service!
