This restaurant is located on a peninsula and walking into it it has an island feeling to it! The inside of the restaurant is rather on the high end interior design side. They have happy hour which is at the bar and the high top only. It’s from 4 PM to 6 PM. Their happy hour Caesar salad is really good size! Hannah, my waitress was fabulous! Very attentive and knowledgeable. They also have the best tasting capers on their Caesar salad!

It’s been 4 years some my last visit. Many welcomed updates to the dining room and brunch menu! Excellent views, be sure to ask for Evan as he made us feel so special. We can’t wait to come back!!

I’m giving Rusty Pelican a fair review. I have gone here before and had a great experience so I can’t write them off completely. Let’s start with customer service. When I walked in the valet gentlemen didn’t greet me and I did not feel welcomed at all. The valet gentlemen are asking for $8-$10 just to eat, so the least they can do is smile and welcome you. It felt cold and I wasn’t even acknowledged. Next, once I get in, I tell the hostess that it’s just me today treating myself for brunch. I asked her if I could sit by the window, as I saw about 5 to 6 tables open near the window, and the restaurant was fairly empty. She said, “ I won’t be able to see you at the window because you’re only “one person”, but I’ll get you looking at the water”. I kindly asked her if this was policy and she replied that it was. I did not fuss. I simply complied and continued on with my morning. She sat me in the back on the opposite side of a water view, so the water was barely even in sight. It was frustrating because, I couldn’t have anybody to go with me to eat brunch, but I decided to still treat myself to a nice Sunday breakfast, by myself and enjoy a self-care day. I don’t think I’m any less valued because I didn’t have a partner with me on that specific day. They need to lift this rule because it’s discriminating against people who do not have a companions and still want to enjoy the ambience and food at a restaurant by themselves. Next, let’s talk about the food. The food is always delicious at the Rusty Pelican. I order the French toast, bacon, and a side of scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and bottomless mimosas. This is always good, but on this particular day, the chef or server forgot the Cheddar cheese on the eggs. The server brought out plain scrambled eggs. I kindly let the server know that the eggs were plain and did not have cheese and she offered to return them and bring back ones with cheese. I told her “thank you I do appreciate it.” About 10 minutes later she comes back with a bowl of cheese. You can’t even see the scrambled eggs anymore. It was sarcasm at its fullest, the chef dumped a bucket of cheddar cheese on the eggs, not even melted. I was disgusted by this and didn’t even finish my eggs. Needless to say the rest of the meal was delicious. I expect Rusty Pelican to do a better job, seeing is that they have higher end clientele coming in and I definitely hold them to a higher standard than most one of the mill brunch places. hopefully, next time that I return, I’ll have a great experience and I will be able to actually sit by the window like requested.

This would be a 4 star, but it just wasn’t it the experience. I felt like we weren’t being catered to as much as the other tables. The serve and other servers. Would explain the meal they ordered but we never got that. We ordered some stuff which was completely different from what we thought we ordered. We didn’t touch those dishes since we weren’t informed. Also we came here for our anniversary and there wasn’t anything special at the end. I only say this cause we usually always get a dessert or something when we go somewhere for a special occasion. Other than the service and the few dishes that wasn’t it, everything else was delicious we got the pelican board for two and it was great. The oysters could have been better, definitely felt like I got the worst batch. It was so small and barely any meat of them.

A vey nice and unique place right on the water, if you looking for a fine dining at reasonable price and a great experience. Drinks, food, atmosphere and location are just right. They have a valet service also or you can park in the garage.
