Tucked inside a cozy converted house, this barbecue joint in Tampa feels like a true hidden gem. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel like you’re stepping into a family gathering, and the food brings that same homemade comfort. I was hoping for short ribs, but their sandwich was a great alternative, packed with flavor. The okra with tomatoes was tasty, though I’d love to see classic fried okra on the menu in the future. Overall, the food was delicious, and the experience felt like home. Can’t wait to come back!

Great chopped beef and collards. Had a nice spice and bbq sauce tasted home made. Place is a little dirty inside but everyone was friendly and food well reviewed and worth it. Would recommend togo

Went here for the first time with my husband today and we were very happy we stopped ! I had the chopped beef with collard greens and potato salad which came with corn bread AND a roll to make a sandwich with the beef. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and a lemonade. Everything was delicious. The staff was super friendly and Auntie was holding that kitchen DOWN making plates. They have a great system and it is wonderful to see a black owned business strive! Wishing Al’s plenty of success. My family and I will be back !

BLUF: Best BBQ I've had in Florida hands down.
All the way from the Westcoast, I enjoyed the atmosphere, staff and most of all the food. Lets talk about what you're here for, the FOOD. The food was extremely delicious, unc on the grill / smoker (literally). Went back the next day for round two. The Ribs, pulled pork and sausage sandwich, with baked beans or the spicy greens (2x for lunch) is what I had. The flavor all the way to the staff (my man working the cash register was spot on, and aunty working the sides, all the way to my guy slicing up the meat, made this experience feel like home. Must try if you're in the area.

Went to try because of the great reviews from less than a month ago and was completely disappointed. Ribs were charred black, beans were not that great and the spicy greens were just spicy cause of hot sauce so you can't actually taste the greens. For the price of the rib dinner you will not get your money's worth.
